I get some almost every day via email and I never replied to them as I thought maybe they were just trying to harvest artists email addresses...

Spam I say!

Sorry buts its no spam....I own a few groups like that...we are only playing in PSP...having a hobby that takes our minds off our every day sorrows....being creative helps....and because we want to do the right thing....we ask permission...I dont think that is so bad....not answering....and ignoring it...is rude...sorry to say this...bit it is..! If you want to know more about our community...why dont you join TWRAR...(those who respect artists rights) [link] ....we are a a group that is trying to inform its members about copyrigthts and the general rightts of artists....we are tryingt to teach by example and the group is growing rapidly. We would love to see some artists there too, to get their point across...and to try to come closer to eachother.

Sorry for my rant, but your remark about spam got to me mftalon.

Sorry Conny, your comment came through to me, not Paul. He won't have seen it unless he checks back here himself. You need to hit Reply under a specific post for them to see it in Community Messages.

BTW, spam is defined as unsolicited email, it doesn't really have to be commercial. As far as not answering it goes, as Paul says one does not know if it's legit to begin with and you would have to take time out to go and check (which in some cases you can't do as some groups require you to be logged in to MSN or Yahoo or wherever, or worse still, to actually join to see any of the gallery!) And if you get three or four per day and you tire of repeatedly not having questions you ask the senders answered - has happened to me about a dozen times - then just adopting a blanket 'I don't care' attitude and binning them unread would seem to be a reasonable enough policy

Thank You Einion for granting the permission and I do see if from your side as well as an artists(who has the time to look and see what group is doing what) but some of us like myself and as Conny described are quite harmless. I belong to the group she is talking about and my group also is an artist conscience group and its just something for us to do to have fun. Some of us dont have the money to buy GILD packages not that I wouldn't I think the art is well worth it!. So that is always a BLOW to us when that happens, a beloved artists goes GILD. We do appreciate the artists letting us use their artwork to create wonderful images from our imagination and just having good clean FUN!
